Sports on Film—Slap Shot!

This Wednesday! Please tell your fellow students, colleagues, and friends…we are screening the hockey comedy classic—SLAP SHOTimages.

The Sports, Society and Technology program of the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts and the Georgia Tech Office of the Arts present Sports on Film, a series of sports films that will be held in the Student Center Theater. Reflecting this year’s Arts@Tech theme of “Get Your Game On,” the program is FREE and open to the public.

Sports on Film is presented with support from the Campus Recreation Center. All films start at 7 pm in the Student Center Theater:

Slap Shot (George Roy Hill, 1977, USA), 123min.

Nancy Dowd wrote this hilarious comedy about a Rust-Belt semi-pro ice hockey team led by Paul Newman. The film serves as a biting critique of violence, machismo, and the media.
